Room 825 an end room....
Room 825 an end room. Oh the peace, oh the quiet, the luxury of either. listen

Raddison in downtown...
Raddison in downtown again, room 533. Boy, oh boy! Took 2 dirty rooms to get this big room. Vast expensive air-conditioned wilderness, but clean and quiet. Avoided all world's organizations (who are on a different time zone and hold inpromtue get togethers in the hallway) and slept blissfully.
Only problem is had to get up early in the morning to move the car. Better to pay the $2.50 meter than the $30 parking charge. Got to be some deperate bozonians to steal this old car.

Candlewood - fast and easy check in but why are hotel doors designed to thwart travelers with suitcases?

The Blue Lagoon - (grey and fenced in) near MIA
The Blue Lagoon, Homestead Suites: upgraded me to a good size room that came with a good size smell of wet dog; disgusting bathroom. Otherwise fine, good view, noisy airport. If your room points in that direction be prepared for plane noise. Room 277. Would be twice the value at half the price and still too expensive at $35 on Priceline.

Radisson Downtown - (only if you drive 10 minutes and 2 miles)
The Radisson also has no clue when it comes to organization. First two rooms they assigned me had not been cleaned. Third time lucky.
Do not expect anything good to come of a cheap price - you did'nt right? They still can not find sheets to fit the beds or have more than two elevators working at once. Leave your car at the valet to check in - do not let him valet it - shlep up the one elevator in a bank of six that works and stand behind 45 Chinese visitors trying to check in in spanish? Do not pass up view of huddled masses sucking down the wireless in the lobby. Do not be smug and use the in room internet at $12 a pop - its not going to work anyway so save the frustration. Park on the street and gamble with your insurance coverage. Do not drive into the parking lot to find that it gets you no closer to the check in desk and costs you $6 to drive out again 15 minutes later.
Welcome to Miami - please do not spit on the pavements - some one has to sleep there.
Best Western North Miami ...and Best Pizza
I stayed in the Best Western in North Miami again last night, first room was smoky even though it was a non smoker but they changed it for me promptly, had dinner at Pete's pizza opposite just the best pizza just like New York.

Radisson downtown
Was next to the elevator - but still was quiet despite being so close that my door could be mistaken for the elevator. AC was good and fan could be left running! all glass window surrounding 2 walls could leave you in a fish bowl frame of mind and hot if you are on the sunny side of the street. Internet costs 11 ripp-off bucks a night and is wired only.
Best bet - sleep in your car- not worth the price.
